At the exhibition, one Spanish customer talked about the cooperation about aluminum screws, it is an electric tower project.
2024 is used for this aluminum screw and bolt, 6061 for nut and 7075 for spring washer. The total transaction value of this bolt is 1.2 million US dollars, but its material requirements are very high, and the proportion of aluminum is very light. After many communications with the material factory and our R & D team, we originally wanted to form at one time, but after countless cold heading, we failed. Why? ① If aluminum has no hardness, it is relatively soft and cannot be cold forging; ② If the hardness of aluminum is increased, it will crack when cold heading screws. Later, after many communications with a famous aluminum profile factory in Jiangsu, the process was changed to hexagonal bar CNC processing. The nut 6061 is successfully cold headed at one time, then heat treated and anodized. The spring pad 7075 is also formed by cold heading and then anodized. In general, this product is the first creation in China, and Spanish customers are very satisfied, because there are five colors, and the whole mechanical performance meets the aluminum screw standard. Although we drove for 15 days to find several material manufacturers, the research was successful in the end. The customer was happy, and we were also very happy. Two months later, the final sample was qualified, and the customer directly placed an order of 2x20ft.
