Channel Nuts are manufactured with an indentation to fit tightly into strut channel and are used to secure threaded rod and other hardware to strut. They are formed or stamped from steel bar stock and case hardened.
Channel Nuts and spring nuts also have serrated grooves on one side to help you correctly align them within the channel's track, and hold them securely in place, during the tightening process and after being tightened.
The Regular Spring Channel Nuts ( Strut ) Steel-E.G. 1/2-13 X 1/2 is a U.S. Standard channel nut with a 1/2-13 diameter thread pitch and a nut thickness of 1/2".
