Shackle is one kind of rigging. The usual shackles in the domestic market are divided into three categories: national standard, American Standard and Japanese standard; American standard is the most commonly used one, which is widely used because of its small size and large bearing weight. Compared with our national standard shackles and Japanese shackles, American Standard shackles have smaller volume, lighter weight and higher safety factor.
American Crosby shackles and cross pins are made of 40Cr, but most of our domestic American Standard shackles are forged with 45 steel, and the cross pins are made of 40cr Table treatment.
Generally, they are galvanized or painted.
